The house was cozy, beautifully decorated, with a lovely owner. Ample washrooms/showers, well-stocked kitchen, and access to laundry. Room had nice touches and a heated mattress pad. Lovely old hotel, clean and comfortable, with charming kiwiana decor. Self-check-in, bike storage, and well-stocked kitchen, dining, and lounge area. Great location near local amenities.
Everything is what i need and want.

We spent Easter at a historic hotel in a small town. The shared kitchen was well-stocked and had free range eggs for breakfast. The warm and comfortable room had a nice vintage feel, and there was ample parking available.
The walls were very thin, and we could hear our neighbors clearly. , the toilet in our room was in need of maintenance.

The hotel was conveniently located near the town center and within walking distance to shops and businesses. the room was nicely presented and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. It was great that there were plenty of toilets and showers available, so there was never a wait.
The hotel lacked clear communication about their check-in and key collection process. This caused unnecessary stress and frustration upon arrival as we were not informed ahead of time.

Located next to a busy highway, this hotel has character and charm but can be noisy. the rooms are clean and come equipped with coffee and tea facilities. Some rooms have vintage decor and work desks. Free range eggs are provided for breakfast. Several businesses nearby serve food and drink. the shared bathrooms are maintained well, and a jigsaw in one of the rooms is a nice touch.
The hotel may not be suitable for light sleepers due to the noise from the highway.

My stay at the Royal Mail was fantastic. The hotel had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite some road noise outside. The shared washroom facilities were well-maintained and never inconvenienced me during my stay. The old building itself had a charming character that added to the overall experience. The renovated kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. The lounge, while formal, provided a pleasant space to relax and unwind. The location was ideal, with a pub just across the road where I enjoyed a delicious dinner and mingled with friendly locals. Despite some minor drawbacks, such as the limited seating in the lounge and occasional squeaky door, my overall experience at the Royal Mail was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its hospitality, cleanliness, and great facilities.
